The National U. S. Grant Trail Association is a 501c3 non-profit educational organization located in St. Louis County, Missouri. It is qualified to accept tax-deductible donations. It operates according to by-laws that call for the establishment of state organizations and the recognition of those organizations as chartered units of the Trail Association. Members of the national Board of Directors are to be elected based in part on nominations by state-chartered organizations. The Trail Association currently operates with an interim Board, which includes representatives residing in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky and Tennessee. [click here to view by-laws]
